An anemometer is a device used by meteorologists to study weather patterns. It primarily measures wind speed, which helps them understand and predict weather changes. While anemometers do not measure temperature there is a thermometer as well built into this tool to measure temperature, an anemometer itself typically doesn't measure temperature.
